7 Stress Reducing Plants - In Honor of National Relaxation Day

Today is National Relaxation Day! Here are 7 plants that can help with relaxation and how they are used!

1. Peppermint:

Peppermint’s relaxing quality has been known for ages. Chop up some of this menthol containing plant up and toss it in a hot water bath for ultimate relaxation.

2. Chamomile: 

Chamomile flowers are very commonly made into teas that help people destress, unwind and naturally relax.
 

3. Lavender: 

It’s calming sent and widespread availability has made lavender a staple of relaxation in homes across the world.
 

4. Jasmine: 

Tea and oils produced from this plant help the user relax and fall asleep as well as reduce anxiety.
 

5. Aloe Vera: 

Known for it’s ability to fight inflammations, aloe vera is an extremely popular plant found in many homes. Did you know it also has anti anxiety properties as well as air filtration abilities?
 

6. Chrysanthemum: 

The huge flowers of this plant are not just nice to look at in the fall season. The flowers can be made into a tea that has been shown to help relax the body.
